    • Introduction: Welcome

      We will explain the scope of the workshop and the schedule.

    • Principles of FAIR data publications

      In this session, we will explain the FAIR data principles and how they apply to atmospheric model data.
      We present the ATMODAT standard, which is a newly established guideline for the FAIR publication of atmospheric model data. Subsequently, we introduce the ATMODAT Standard compliance checker which is a tool to evaluate if netCDF files.
      Finally, we explain the CF Conventions and how CF-compliant data files are produced.

    • Practical exercise: First steps with the atmodat and CF checker

      In this session, participants will learn how to use the ATMODAT Standard compliance checker and the CF checker and how to read output of these checkers.
      We will do this first with test files, but advanced users can start applying the checkers on their own data.
